82nd Airborne Rescues 24 Special Needs Orphans In Baghdad
This is not a new story, but I felt a need to share for anyone who may not of heard it.
In June of 2007, Army soldiers discovered an orphanage in Baghdad, housing 24 special needs orphans. The children were all boys rangeing in age from 3-15. The boy’s were found naked, severly malnourished and abused. The boys were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The soldiers found stock rooms packed with food and clothing. Instead of giving it to the boys, the soldiers believe it was being sold to local markets.
I chose not to post photo’s of the conditions the boys were found, it was to upsetting to see.
