We are all about having sun kissed skin with out getting sun damage.

I have tried many sunless tanners, and although they have come a long way since the 80′s, many still leave a lot to be desired. I usually look for a sunless tanner that has an instant bronzer and a nice fragrance. A bronze tinted, sunless tanner will give you the satisfaction of instant color and help achieve even application. The chemicals used to create a sunless tan do have an unpleasant odor and can also make skin dry. This is why it is ideal to look for a product that has an added fragrance and a moisturizer. Tantasia is a new self tanner, by Jane Iredale and it meets all of my personal criteria. We (Stephanie & Kristy) both love this product, it works great for people with very fair skin (like Kristy) that need to build up color and those with skin that already has a nice color (like Stephanie) and would just like to add a little extra color and a get a beautiful glow.

A moisturizing, natural bronzer and self-tanner for face and body.
• Bronzer provides instant, healthy-looking color.
• Builds a gradual, natural looking tan within three days, for optimum control and customization.
• Fresh citrus fragrance.
• Streak-free formula.
• Sensitivity tested for use on face and body.
• Provides natural hydration to the skin.

Application for Face:
• Squeeze a dime-sized amount onto your finger.
• Touch the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin with the finger to distribute product.
• Using sweeping motions, start at the center of the face and blend outwards until you’re pleased with the coverage.
• Wash hands thoroughly.
• Apply daily until a golden tan has been achieved.

Application for Body:
• Squeeze an amount the size of a quarter in the palm of hand.
• Rub hands together two to three times to distribute the product across palms.
• Smooth on one section at a time until product is absorbed using long, back-and-forth strokes.
• Repeat the steps above until the desired coverage is reached.
• Wash hands thoroughly.
• Apply daily until a golden tan has been achieved.

Tips:
• To minimize the chance of transfer to clothing, allow 15-20 minutes before getting dressed.
• The Blending Brush may be used to blend Tantasia.
• Use frequently to maintain color.

Like many other little girls, I loved Barbie. Okay… I did hate that she was always loosing her shoes, after all how is any fashion forward girl supposed to accessorize with out a matching pair of shoes. I could spend hours dressing up Barbie and styling her hair. She would even speed around in a remote control Barbie corvette, that included a mobile phone! I had no idea she was a bad influence. No, I am not referring to her tiny waist or large plastic breasts. I am not going to blame Barbie for eating disorders, or the Barbie Corvette for my photo radar tickets. I am talking about the tanning habits of Malibu Barbie. I didn’t have one myself, but I remember another little girl had the ” Sun Lovin’ Malibu Barbie”. The iconic 70′s Barbie came with tanning lotion, sun glasses and a towel. I was so impressed with the way her skin would tan in the sun. Her color would actuually get darker when she was placed under light and the color would gradually fade in a few days. Malibu Barbie actually had the ability to achieve tan lines. Lucky for Barbie she is made of plastic, so she doesn’t have the ability to develop skin cancer, wrinkles, sun spots, or skin laxity. Barbie wasn’t alone, she had a full entourage of tanorexic Malibu friends. Ken, P.J., Skipper, Francie and Christie were all sun lovers too.

I am wondering when they plan on introducing Melanoma Barbie, or at the very least Sun Damaged Barbie.

It is a good thing Barbie had all those jobs, she is going to need a good “Plastic” Surgeon.

I guess I will let Barbie off the hook, I don’t think she new any better back then. I just hope that Mattel will be a little more mindful in the future. Come to think of it, my Barbie Corvette didn’t have seat belts or airbags either, and I am pretty sure Barbie got her license from a Cracker Jack box.

Oh…. Just for the record, I am not old enough to have played with the original Malibu Barbie. I am sure that thought never crossed anyones mind, with my youthful appearance and all. LOL

If I only ever get one point clear, it is that sun exposure and tanning is bad for your health and appearance. Sun exposure not only causes life threatening cancer (which should be enough), it ages the skin more than any other factor. However, a tan conceals skin imperfections, spider veins and cellulite. It’s no surprise that people love to tan. There is an easy and obvious solution, spray tan. A sunless tan is the only healthy tan. Lisa Pletts has taken spray tanning to the next level, custom, airbrush tanning on location. With airbrush tanning vs. spray tanning booths, an airbrush artist will create contours that flatter your shape and skin. Lisa’s clients also enjoy the convenience of having their tanning treatment in their home or location of choice.

Radiance Custom Tanning was established by Lisa Pletts after her departure from corporate America where she spent 16 years climbing the corporate ladder in various industries. Lisa always understood the importance of proper skin care, the use of SPF and how the sun can be so damaging to the skin so she took steps to make healthy tanning possible for everyone. With the idea of the mobile airbrush spray tanning venture in the back of her mind for some time, and with the same drive and determination she exhibited in the corporate world, Radiance Custom Tanning was born.

Nothing could be better suited for Pletts, who is a walking advertisement for Radiance Custom Tanning. Her outgoing personality and charm are evident by the manner with which she deals with clients both personally and professionally.

Radiance Custom Tanning is the premier mobile spray tanning salon specializing in sunless, airbrush tanning services in the Metropolitan Phoenix/Scottsdale area. They provide clients with a consistent, natural-looking sunless tan that is 100% customizable to individual skin type and preference. They travel to your home, office, hotel or any location you choose. Many rely on Radiance Custom Tanning for the perfect airbrush spray tan from one of our professional, courteous, discreet mobile tanning specialists.

With Radiance Custom Tanning you are sprayed a mobile airbrush tanning technician by hand and YOU choose the desired outcome color. Not only will they spray tan your body, we will also even out your skin tones and at your request, accentuate the contours of your body and enhance your muscle definition.

This mobile airbrush spray tanning service is personal, discreet and 100% customizable. There’s no orange discoloring, no streaking, and no mess. Just a healthy natural looking sunless tan. Radiance Custom Tanning is a healthy alternative to the sun; with a guaranteed outcome you will love.

Depend on Radiance Custom Tanning for that bronzed, healthy look when time is short and perfection is required.
